Creamy Rice Pudding
Rice pudding has been a firm family favourite in British households for years. This simple dessert is making a comeback because it's so easy to make and uses simple yet delicious ingredients – including creamy Candia Milk.
Serves 4-6
Ingredients:
200g/7oz pudding rice, washed
1ltr/2pints Candia semi-skimmed UHT Milk
80g/3oz caster sugar
pinch of salt
pinch of ground nutmeg
50g/2oz butter
Method
1. Cook the rice in salted boiling water for 2 mins and drain well.
2. Bring the Candia Milk to the boil in a large pan and add the drained rice, sugar, salt and nutmeg. Cover and cook over a very low heat for 30-40 mins.
3. Add the butter and mix well. Serve warm with a little extra Candia Milk if desired.
